A few things

See the tests
Will it run on my Mac?

PressTalk requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) with macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs are not supported.

What happens during setup?

Move PressTalk to Applications and open it. Allow Microphone to hear you, Input Monitoring to detect Fn, and Accessibility to put text into your app. The speech model is about 460 MB and needs an internet connection to download. After setup, dictation works offline.

Can I use it in my usual apps?

Use it in text fields in Mail, Slack, your browser, Xcode, and other Mac apps. Click where you want the words, then hold Fn. Secure fields and some apps block insertion. If insertion fails, the text is copied so you can paste it yourself.

Will it get every word right?

You may need to edit. Try your own sentences, names, and everyday vocabulary during the free trial. That is the useful test. See the tests for the measured results and their limits.

What does “future updates included” mean?

You receive every future Mac release we make, including major versions, with no upgrade charge. There is no promised release schedule or guarantee of compatibility with future macOS versions. You can keep using your compatible version.

What if I need help, or want a refund?

You’ll hear from the person who builds PressTalk. Support is best effort, with no guaranteed response time. If it is not right for you, request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Get support or request a refund.
