PressTalk is being prepared for direct download. This is a preview of the launch experience.
You can buy PressTalk now. The download is not connected yet. Checkout is live and a licence key is issued on purchase. The notarized release is built and signed but not yet published, so buying today means holding a key for a build you cannot download until it is. If you would rather wait, wait — the price does not change.
Before you download
You need an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later), macOS 14 or later, and an internet connection for the speech model, about 460 MB. After setup, dictation works offline.
When the release is ready
- Open the download. Unzip the download, move PressTalk to Applications, and open it.
- Allow three permissions. Microphone lets PressTalk hear you. Input Monitoring detects the Fn key. Accessibility lets PressTalk put your text in the app you are using.
- Let the speech model finish downloading. It stays on your Mac. Setup time depends on your connection; the first run may take longer than a minute.
- Say something useful. Open a blank note and click where you want the words. Hold Fn, say “I’ll send you the draft this afternoon,” and let go. Your words appear there.
If text does not appear, check the permissions in PressTalk’s settings. If it was copied instead, press Cmd-V. The support guide explains the next steps.
